The boundary, stated plainly
AI assists. Accounting decides. Final classification, exception resolution, approval, and posting into QuickBooks or any other ledger remain manual and human-reviewed. Nothing in these workflows makes autonomous accounting, tax, audit, or compliance determinations, and none of this work is accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Why the source of truth matters
Recurring classification only works when the rules come from records your team already approved. Approved historical workbooks are used as the source of truth so the workflow repeats prior decisions consistently instead of improvising. When there is no precedent, the item becomes an exception for a person to decide — and that decision then becomes precedent.
Data handling
Engagements begin with data-handling standards: what may be shared, what must be redacted, which tools are approved, and where human review is required. Credentials, full payment-card numbers, government IDs, and bank details are never shared through informal channels.
